 Full Review

The Asko W6222 is a compact front load washing machine with many unique features such as ultra-gentle hand-wash and wool-wash programs, a leak protection system, and a rinse cycle designed to prevent skin irritation caused by detergent residues. It has a good selection of presets that can be customized to suit any type of laundry load.

The Asko W6222 has 3 spin speeds with a maximum of 1200 RPM. Water levels are adjusted automatically depending on the amount of laundry. Water temperature can be adjusted from cold all the way up to 205 degrees F.

The electronic controls on this washing machine are well laid out. Indicator lights tell you which cycle and options have been selected, and the wash cycles are printed on the control panel and the remaining cycle time is displayed in an LED window. The SmoothDial™ controls on the Asko W6222 have a solid feel and are easy to operate.

The Asko W6222 is available in white or titanium and the tub and outer tanks are made from heavy-duty stainless steel which never rust, chip or absorb odors. The washing machine has an internal heater for optimal temperatures throughout the entire wash cycle.

This is a quiet washing machine thanks to the four-shock suspension and load balancing system which is a feature of all Asko washing machines. This makes it one of the easiest front loaders to install. The energy rating of 209 kWHrs per year is very economical and it comes with a one year Parts and Labor warranty.

In Use

The W6222 is a good performer thanks to its frontloading design. It is very gentle on the clothes and very quiet in operation. It is not as finicky as other brands of front loaders because it has an internal shock absorbing system to reduce vibration. Although one of the most expensive washing machines on the market the W6222 cleans better than most other machines and is one of the most economical washing machines to operate.

We bought this because the house we moved into had a built in area for the washer/dryer, not knowing that the previous owner ad this specialty built for the asko we had to buy the askos' because it was actually cheaper to do that than rip out the surround. These are great machines, the only draw back for us is that we have 5 kids, these are not keeping up with the dirty clothes as you can imagine. great for a family of 4 or less. they clean the clothes very well and you can tell the difference from other washers that leave more detergent residue.

very expensive machine. extrememly unreliable I have had multiple problems with the front panels cracking, motor burning up, transmission dying and control panel burning up. I see this as a 100+ calls to asko and $1600.00 lesson to not buy from this company again.

Can't plug the washing machine in US plugs, Sunday, 20 April 2008

Due to no information neither from the side of the seller nor from the side of Asko Company that this washer cannot be plugged into normal US 110 V plugs, I bought this machine, only to realise that I can't use it when it arrived.

I tried to complain to Asko at the hotline and I worte them a letter, but I didn't get an answer in weeks. It seems that they couldn't care less.

In order to make my new washing machine work I would have to buy an asko dryer aswell in order to plug the washer to the dryer, but I won't do it that because I'm so disappointed about this company.
