As the little brother to the Whirlpool Duet GHW9400P, the Whirlpool Duet GHW9150P has the same energy efficient design and washing power. It has a few less presets and other features found on the more expensive machine, but has the same washing capacity of 3.8 cu/ ft. and a slightly lower weight rating of 20 pounds as opposed to the 22 pounds which the GHW9400P is capable of.

The eight presets on the Whirlpool Duet GHW9150P include Delicates, Hand Wash, and Soaking. Extra settings include Heavy Duty, and Extra Rinsing. The maximum spin speed is 1000 rpm and there are four separate spin speed settings.

The Whirlpool Duet GHW9150P washing machine has an automatic water level control and three temperature levels. There are dispensers for fabric softener and bleach.

All of the settings are controlled electronically. There are also indicators for the end of cycle and there is a delayed start timer for extra soaking. Anyone with small children will appreciate the childproof setting.

Front loading washing machines are usually a bit noisier than their counterparts, but the Whirlpool Duet GHW9150P is certainly within a reasonable noise level. Keep in mind that it must be accurately leveled in order to avoid vibration during the spin cycles.

The Whirlpool Duet GHW9150P is a stylish washing machine that does the job. Its large capacity is ideal for a busy family and its energy efficiency is an important consideration for saving money in the long run. The number of presets is about average for a washing machine in this price range and certainly adequate for the average family. It does a great job on almost all types of laundry. Unfortunately, it is not suitable for washing woolens, so if this is important for you consider the slightly more expensive Whirlpool Duet GHW9400P which is certified for cleaning wool. For almost anything else Whirlpool Duet GHW9150P will give you great service and is highly recommended.
