Overview

Image

If you don't need all the bells and whistles the Kenmore 26852 is a good performer. Although not as energy or water efficient as front-loading machines and a bit on the noisy side, the Kenmore 26852 will give you reliable service.

 Full Review

The Kenmore 26852 is a top load washing machine with a 3.2 cu/ ft capacity. It's got loads of presets - 16 Wash Presets, including Permanent Press, Delicates, Hand Wash, and Soaking. Extra setting include Heavy Duty and Extra Rinsing.

The Kenmore 26852 has 4 spin speeds and 4 water levels, and the water temperature can be set to one of five levels.

This washing machine uses an efficient activator method and fabric softener and bleach can be dispensed during the wash cycle.

The Kenmore 26852 is only available in white and the tub is made from Porcelain-coated Steel - not as durable as stainless steel but still tough enough to give years of service.

In terms of energy efficiency, the Kenmore 26852 is rated at a respectable 536 kWHrs for Annual Energy Consumption. It has a one year Parts and Labor warranty.

In Use

This washing machine does the job. The controls are well laid out and easy to operate. Although not as quiet as a front loader, the noise level of the Kenmore 26852 is certainly within reasonable limits. It uses slightly more electricity than other machines, but in return, you get real water temperature controls which is more efficient in terms of washing clothes. And that is what it's all about!

I have the same problem the F1 code with the Kenmore Elite Oasis HE top load washing machine. I purchased mine in August 2007 and this F1 error has been going on for 3 months now. We called Sears and a technician came and he says he has the electronic motherboard in his van but it will cost us $300+ to fix. It is weird because he charged me the same price for the part and labor. I got upset with him and he says I have to pay for the $75 for his inhome service. I told him wtf didnt you guys tell me how much it will cost before I had you come over here when you already have the part in your van. This means you guys are having issues like these with others. I told him to leave and called Sears and I wrote to Channel 13 news in Las Vegas. I spent $1800 for both the washer and dryer and was told it was a reliable machine. Then I get a letter in the mail that Sears is now offering a free upgrade for the machine if the first four of my serial# fall between CT01 through CT49. The first 4 of my seriol# is CT51. So, i dont qualify for it. It is stupid and ridiculous. The fact that they have a resolution for the others but not a resolution for my machine that I spent $1000+ on. In the beginning I already had problems with the machine and when I called it in, they detected no problems and now, here I am emotionally distressed over the money I spent for this machine and they cant fix it because my warranty expired. Please help me. MOD# 110.27082603
