Overview

Editor Rating 3.7  This large capacity washing machine is perfect for a big family. Although priced on the expensive side, the Kenmore Oasis HE 27062 is good value for the money. Its advanced technology makes it an efficient washing machine engaging plenty of choices for wash cycles.  However, the difficulty in leveling this machine is one of its major flaws.

 Full Review

The Kenmore Oasis HE 27062 is a top load washing machine with a super large capacity - 4.5 cu/ ft. It has an amazing 17 wash presets including Permanent Press, Delicates, Hand Wash, Mixed Colors, Wrinkle-Free, Soaking, and Cotton.

The Kenmore Oasis HE 27062 has 3 spin speeds and an automatic water level mechanism. This allows you to make a simple setting on the washing machine without worrying about water levels. As for water temperature, it can be set to one of five levels.

The electronic controls on the Kenmore Oasis HE 27062 are easy to operate and are stylishly modern. They combine touch controls and rotary controls and include a delayed start timer and a time remaining indicator.

The Kenmore Oasis HE 27062 is only available in white and the tub is made from heavy-duty stainless steel. This guarantees years of reliable service.

On the negative side, the washing machine can be difficult to level. Unless perfectly leveled, the machine has a tendency to "walk" which can damage the interior plastic tub. We feel this is a serious design flaw in an otherwise respectable machine. The Kenmore Oasis HE 27062 comes with a one year Parts and Labor warranty.

In Use

The Oasis HE 27062 is stylish machine that looks great in the laundry room. The controls are very well laid out and easy to use. The large capacity tub can handle the largest loads you can give it. It is also a very quiet machine as long as it is properly leveled. Unfortunately, this is not an easy process, and an unleveled washing machine is noisy and can damage the interior plastic tub.

Do not buy this machine. After experiencing an F1 problem, we had the control panel replaced. Now at 17 minutes, we get the UL code. Sears will not back up this product after the one year warranty runs out even though there have been hundreds of similar complaints. No recall - spend, spend and spend again and it still doesn't work.

Didn't wash well when it worked. Under two years old and so many error codes it is basically useless. No support from Sears. Go elsewhere.

And the fridge I bought i just as bad.

We have had this very expensive model for less than two years. Last week it quit. Repair man charged us $75 to tell us we need $500 worth of repairs. This product is riddled with design flaws and Kenmore refuses to recall the circuit boards, the culprit of most of the problems. Ours needs a new circuit board and pump. The unit severely tangles clothes and doesn't do a good job of getting easy stains out as well. Do yourself a favor and get a $500 model w/o all the bells and whisltes as they are simply trouble waiting to happen. Realize it's a washine machin=e and not a ceterpiece.

Hugely disappointed in this machine. Have to wash towels twice to get clean. Does not take odours out of clothes nor does it remove basic dirt. Leaves residue because of the poor rinsing. Max out features on every load so takes 99 minute per load and still are not clean.

Have to agree with poster who wanted to give a BIG FAT ZERO!!!

Don't know why Consumer Reports rates them so high. Sure don't work in the "real live world"

My washer was $1,134 and is only 2 and 1/2 years old and three months ago it started flashing F1 after 30 seconds into the cycle. It required me to start the machine over 5 or more times to get one load done. The service man came out to the house and said it was the circut board and it would cost $400 to fix it. Now I'm out $400 on top of the $1,134. Sears is going down hill fast. Do not waste your money on this machine. There are hundreds of complaints about this washer! Check them out online. It doesn't always pay to get the most expensive. Never again!!!

At least a load a day for 3 1/2 yrs. and just had my first problem. The drain motor needed replacing because we were hearing a loud rattling noise during high speed spin. Cost 50 dollars. 5 min. job. Just tipped it forward so the hoses would balance it and no water would spill out, removed the back and switched it out. Great machine. Great design. Love it. Seems to be getting a bum wrap online. Mine has been great.

I keep getting the F1 error code. I do not qualify for an upgrade to repair this agrevating problem. The control panel is defective and Sears wants $400 plus service call of $129 to repair it. The machine is only 3 years old. If this is Sears Elite model, they need to pay for the upgrades and let up get back to washing instead of making phone calls to someone who does not seem to care.
